About the Company
Rane Holdings is the holding company of the Rane Group. RHL is a listed company with investments exclusively in the group companies. The conclusion of the restructuring exercise within the Group has achieved complete elimination of cross-holdings among group companies, as envisaged.
The company invests exclusively in the group companies viz; Rane Engine Valves Ltd, Kar Mobiles Ltd, Rane Brake Lining Ltd, Rane Investments Ltd, Rane (Madras) Ltd and Rane Diecast Ltd. RHL owns the trademark 'Rane' and provides a range of services to group companies which include employee training and development, investor services, business development and information systems support
The Rane Group established in the year 1929 as a trading house and serves a variety of industry segments: Passenger Cars, Multi Utility Vehicles, Light Commercial Vehicles, Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Farm Tractors, Three-wheelers, Two-wheelers and Stationary Engines through Rane Holding company & 7 manufacturing companies.
Rane Holdings Ltd and Japan’s NSK Ltd in 2008 have built a plant in north India, to make electric steering systems for a new model from India’s top car maker by sales, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Rane NSK Steering Systems Ltd, the equal joint venture, also has plans to later expand the capacity of the plant in Haryana to serve new models from Honda Motor Co.’s Indian operations.
