Shakti Pumps was incorporated in 1982 by the Patidar family of Rao (Indore) to manufacture submersible pumps and electric control panels. In 1995, the company went public with an issue of Rs 500 lakh.

Later in 1996, company expanded its portfolio by manufacturing of stainless steel submersible pumps and motors. In the same year, Shakti Pumps started its export operation.

In the year 2006, company was acknowledged with one star export house status. In the same year, the company established a branch office in Australia and Turkey.

Today, the company is engaged in the business of manufacturing of submersible pumps along with submersible motors and associated controls panels under the name ‘Shakti’.

It manufactures pumps and motors (0.5-150HP) in different sizes of 100-300 mm. The company is second largest stainless steel submersible pump sets manufacturer in the world.

The company has also obtained BIS certificate for ISI mark in 1989 and through continuous process improvement and streamlining the quality system at par the international standards have now acquired ISO: 9001:2000 certifications.

The company manufactures and exports energy efficient pumps and motors such as submersible pumps, SRN-booster pumps or submersible motors and many more. It also specialises in manufacturing stainless steel submersible pump sets ranging between 0.5 H.P. to 60 H.P. It exports pumpsets to more than 50 countries.

The company manufactures 4”, 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” submersible pumps that are exported to more than 40 countries. These pumps are used in construction of main hydraulic component impellers.

The company’s factory is located at sector III, Pithampur Industrial Area in Madhya Pradesh India. It has also started new unit in SEZ (special economic zone) Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh.

Shakti Pumps operates marketing offices in Kenya, Australia and Turkey. Domestically, the company’s products are marketed through 150 distributors and dealers in 12 states. Globally, Shakti Pumps market its products to countries namely Turkey, Spain, US, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy and Australia, among others.
